The Challenge
Financial institutions need remote client onboarding that is both secure and frictionless. Traditional video-call verification is expensive and slow. Automated solutions must resist sophisticated spoofing attacks while maintaining a seamless user experience.
Our Approach
We developed an integrated computer vision pipeline combining document authenticity verification, facial matching against ID photos, and real-time liveness detection. The liveness module uses passive challenge-response patterns to detect presentation attacks including printed photos, screen replays, and 3D masks — without requiring the user to perform awkward head movements.
Results
The system processes verification in under 15 seconds with high accuracy on liveness detection. Now deployed in production for banking client onboarding, reducing manual review workload while maintaining compliance with KYC regulations.
