The Challenge
Chess analysis requires enormous computational power — evaluating positions to the depth that grandmasters need means processing millions of nodes per second. Existing desktop tools were limited by local hardware, and no cloud solution offered the speed, accuracy, and accessibility that serious players demanded.
Our Approach
We built a cloud-native analysis platform from the ground up. The AI-powered board scanner uses computer vision to digitize positions from photos. The cloud engine farm runs Stockfish at up to 1,000,000 kN/s across distributed infrastructure. A 9+ million game database is updated weekly with automated ingestion pipelines.
Results
Chessify became the #1 cloud chess analysis platform globally, recognized by FIDE as the preferred training tool for top GMs and professionals. The platform serves 1M+ users including 200+ grandmasters, with 60K+ paid subscribers. It spun off into an independent company and continues to grow.
